Meet Interior Designer, Emily Cencer

Nature lover and adventurer, Emily is known as the “edgy one” and is as cool as she sounds. Always offering a hand or a bright idea, we count ourselves lucky to have her on our team.

How did you become interested in interior design?
I grew up watching home makeover shows on Saturday mornings; Trading Spaces and While You Were Out on TLC, or This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop if dad had the remote! Ever since I can remember I have been cutting up Ikea catalogs and collecting paint chips from Home Depot and creating scrapbooks of vignettes of my “future designs.”

Where do you draw inspiration? From everything around me, especially nature and my travels & experiences.

What’s your favorite color or color combination? My favorite color is blue and I like it combined with green.

What’s a style that you love but don’t personally use? I love designs inspired by Moroccan architecture, the bright colors and ornate, intricate details.

What’s on your desk? A notebook, pens, coffee, and water. I try to keep it clean!

Who do you consider a role model? Anyone who is really passionate about what they do.

What is your favorite movie? War dogs.

What are your favorite emojis?  The laughing ones and the love hearts.

Describe your perfect day. My perfect day is any warm summer day spent on the lake or camping out in the woods with my family and friends.
